Somchai K.
Bangkok · Notebook & Walkthrough
"I had been putting off sorting out my documents for years — not because I didn't want to, but because I never quite knew where to start. The notebook gave me a structure to follow and the walkthrough explained what each section was actually for. It took me a few evenings to work through, but when I finished I felt genuinely more settled about the whole thing."

Nonthaburi · Question Library
"The library has been useful mostly because I can search for a specific term and actually get an explanation that makes sense. I've looked up questions about provident fund withdrawals, social security, and what happens to accounts when someone passes away. The answers don't tell me what to do, which is fine — I just needed to understand what I was reading in the official documents."

Nonthaburi · Family Workshop
"My mother and I attended together. We had been meaning to talk about her arrangements for a long time but it always felt uncomfortable to bring up. The workshop gave us a reason to have that conversation in a setting where it felt normal. The facilitator was patient and didn't rush anything. We left with the companion guide and have actually continued the conversation at home."

Pathum Thani · Notebook & Library
"I bought both the notebook and the library membership. They work well together — the notebook is where I record things, and the library is where I go when I need to understand something I've written down. It is a bit like having a reference shelf next to the filing cabinet. Neither of them tells me what decisions to make, which I think is the right approach."

Chiang Mai · Family Workshop
"We travelled from Chiang Mai to attend the workshop with my husband's family. It was worth the trip. The session covered things we genuinely hadn't thought about — not financial decisions, but things like who knows where documents are kept, and whether anyone has the information they would need in an emergency. The guide is still on our kitchen table."

Bangkok · Question Library
"I work in human resources and was trying to help a colleague understand their provident fund options. The library gave me plain-language explanations I could share without worrying that they would be mistaken for financial advice. I've since recommended it to several people in similar situations."

In More Detail
A few situations, described in full
Case Study · Planning Notebook
A retired teacher with documents in several places
Situation
A 68-year-old former teacher living in Nonthaburi had a government pension, a small savings account, and a life policy — but no single record of where the documents were kept or who the relevant contacts were. Her daughter was concerned that if something happened, she would not know where to begin.
What They Did
Mother and daughter worked through the Planning Notebook together over three evenings. They used the walkthrough to understand each section, and filled in the notebook with the relevant details — policy numbers, account locations, and the names of the contacts at each institution.
Outcome
A completed notebook that lives in a known place and can be updated as things change. The daughter described the main outcome as "knowing what we know" — understanding the full picture, even if it had not changed in practical terms. The mother said she felt less worried about being a burden on her family.
"I think my daughter felt more comfortable after we did this together. I did too, honestly. It wasn't about money — it was about knowing everything was written down somewhere."
Case Study · Family Workshop
A family where the conversation had never quite started
Situation
Three adult siblings and their father attended the Family & Carer Workshop. The father was 74 and in good health but had never discussed his later-life arrangements with his children. The siblings had tried to bring it up separately and found it stalled each time — no one wanted to seem pushy.
What They Did
The workshop gave the family a structured setting to begin the conversation. The facilitator introduced each topic area at a measured pace and asked questions that opened discussion without directing it. The father talked more openly than his children had expected.
Outcome
By the end of the session, the family had agreed on several practical steps — including who would hold the companion guide and who would be the main contact for each type of arrangement. One sibling described it as the most useful family meeting they had ever had.
"We didn't leave with any decisions made, but we left having had a real conversation. That was the part we'd been missing."
