Helping people find their footing on later-life matters

We are an educational resource centre, not a financial services provider. Our purpose is to make a complex subject feel approachable.

Our Story

Where Provora came from

Provora began in Nonthaburi in 2019, when a small group of educators and information professionals noticed something they kept hearing from people around them: that retirement schemes and later-life planning felt like a topic that required professional help just to begin understanding — and that help was not always accessible, or neutral.

The founders were not financial planners. They were people who had spent years helping others navigate complex information — in public libraries, in community education, and in adult learning centres. They recognised that what many people needed was not advice on what to do, but a calm, well-organised way to understand what they were looking at.

The name Provora draws on the idea of something thought through in advance — a word that sits quietly between "provide" and "foresee." The team liked that it felt considered rather than urgent, which reflects how they believe planning should feel.

Since opening, Provora has worked with individuals, couples, and families across Thailand — people at different stages of life and with very different starting points. Some come with a folder of documents they have never quite made sense of. Others come because a family conversation has stalled and they want a neutral, organised space to have it.

The approach has stayed consistent: plain language, no product recommendations, and always a clear link to official sources so people can verify what they learn.

What Guides Us

Mission and values

Education over sales

We do not sell financial products, take referral fees, or benefit from the decisions you make. Our income comes from our resources and workshops, nothing else.

Clarity as a starting point

Every resource we create is reviewed to check that it can be understood by someone with no background in finance. If something is still confusing, we rewrite it.

Respect for pace

Planning for later life is a personal process. We do not push timelines or create pressure. People should feel ready to take the next step, not hurried into it.

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

Verified information

Every explanation in our question library is checked against official Thai government and regulatory sources before publication, and reviewed whenever regulations change.

Data handled responsibly

Personal information provided when booking or contacting us is used only to manage your enquiry. We do not share contact details with third parties or use them for marketing without consent.

Regular content review

The question library is reviewed on a rolling basis. Members are notified when content relevant to their known interests is updated.

Feedback integrated

After each workshop and notebook walkthrough, we invite participants to note anything that was unclear. Those notes go directly into the next revision cycle.

Accessibility considered

Workshop materials are available in large print on request. We aim to make our sessions comfortable for people with varying levels of familiarity with the subject.

Clear scope of service

We are explicit about what Provora does and does not do. If someone needs specialist legal or financial advice, we will say so clearly and suggest they seek it elsewhere.

Our Expertise

A resource built around what people actually need to know

Retirement and later-life planning involves a range of documents, schemes, and terminology that can feel unfamiliar even to people who are well-organised in other areas of their lives. Thailand has its own set of retirement funds, social security arrangements, and voluntary savings vehicles — and the way they interact is not always obvious from official documentation alone.

Provora's question library was built by working backwards from the questions people actually ask: what a provident fund is and how it differs from the SSO, how to find out what you are entitled to, what information a family member would need if something happened to you, and how to keep track of it all in a way that makes sense to someone other than yourself.

The Planning Notebook grew out of the same observation. People often have pieces of the picture — a policy document here, a fund statement there — but no single place where it is all recorded in a format their family or a trusted contact could understand. The notebook provides that structure without telling anyone what to put in it.

The Family & Carer Workshop addresses a different kind of gap: the conversational one. Many families find it difficult to talk about later-life arrangements — not because they disagree, but because the conversation never quite starts. The workshop gives it a frame and a facilitator, and people often leave having said things they had been meaning to say for years.

All of this work is grounded in the same principle: that a person who understands their situation, even in general terms, is better placed to make decisions — or to know when to seek out someone who can help them make specific ones.
